Just for fun

I am not really sure how accurate this is, but it was fun to give it a try!
Who do your children look like??

Future Fashion Models

Or maybe not. Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Riley for the new digs. The boys now have a little piece of Yellowstone Park to wear around here. Oh, and they glow in the dark. The kids have been in the dark bathroom giggling for 15 minutes.

Boys Just Wanna Have Fun

There has been some serious playing going on around here. Here is the proof:

Henry, Mason and Joshua proving what big boys they are in the Barno's backyard.

This was the boys version of a train. They chugged all over the house like this.

After the train stopped everyone started jumping. I think I actually got everyone
up in the air in this one!

First Day, Take 2

There was playing. There was painting. There was eating.
This little boy could not ask for more!

Ollie ready for his first day of Pre-School.
He has been talking about it since the spring. The time has finally come and he could not be happier. It is hard to see the happiness in this picture. Partly because his new favorite smile is pictured below. So, I tried to get him to open his eyes and smile his cute normal smile. What I got is pictured above. Hmmm.

Smiling? Squinting into the sun? Passing gas? You be the judge.

I thought that I should document, on the blog, that I do actually exist. And occasionally I allow my picture to be taken. But, don't get used to it.

First Days

Last week was a busy one at our house. Mason had his first day at preschool and his first day of soccer. Both were a huge success!
We don't really have a front door so the traditional "in front of the house" picture doesn't really work for us. So we have substituted the "behind the couch and in front of the messy bookshelf" picture instead.
Not to be outdone, here is Ollie on Mason's first day of school. Fortunately, he is always ready for a power outage. It is pretty handy to have him around.
At this level, the kids practice drills and skills with their coach, and each with their own ball.
Ready for a water break. It was HOT on Saturday!

Mason with his friend Jack. They are so happy that school is back in and they are seeing each other everyday. Emilie (Jack's mom) and I agreed that it was a long summer of "can I play with Jack/Mason today?"

This week, aside from trying to recover from our various ailments, we are looking forward to Oliver's first day of school and my first day of work. That is a post for another day...

Can't Live Without

Thanks to Rachael for reminding how much I love this snack. I don't think I have had it since the kids were born and I stopped working at Wild Oats. Now that I remember the sweet nectar that is Pirate's Booty, we will be having it often.

Like this weekend for instance, we have all still been sick. The kids seem to be getting better right as Matt and I are at peak sickness levels. However, I dragged myself to the grocery store yesterday for a few necessary items and two bags of Pirate's Booty. This morning, after one trip to the ER, two ruptured eardrums, and 'massive bi-lateral ear infection' (Dr's words), I got back in the car to drive myself home and was so happy to remember that I had packed myself a little bag of the booty for the drive home. All was right in the world once again.
